Oily Skin, Congested Skin, Acne Skin Cleansers

Blocked pores, dull skin, uneven skin, blackheads and whiteheads ... all signs of congested skin and often affecting not just teenagers, but adults too.

Blackheads, whiteheads and blocked pores are usually caused by a combination of factors - Excess skin oil, toxic congestion, dead skin cells, pollution, make up and dirt also play a role.

So how do you get rid of congestion, not by squeezing that's for sure.  The best way is by attacking the source of the problem.

You need a good cleansing routine, regular gentle exfoliation, purifying serums, light moisturisers and a good quality pure mineral make up.  These steps will not only help you minimise congestion but will also encourage clear, vibrant skin in general.

Oily skin cleansers

An oily skin will often be shiny with the excess oil being produced causing occasional breakouts.  Oily skin cleansers should give the skin a good clean without stripping away the skins own natural moisturising barrier.  Also do not be tempted to overexfoliate your skin for the same reason.

Congested skin cleansers

This is where there starts to be blackheads and whiteheads appearing particularly in the T zone (forehead, nose, chin area) again don't be tempted to over cleanse and over exfoliate. When you have a congested skin Look at the causes and make the changes necessary (Another thing I have noted is the prevalence of congestion on the forehead when, particularly teenagers, they have their hair touching this area all the time)
